My screen would sometimes get scrambled and if i pushed down on it it would go back to normal so i figured there was a loose connection
i took the phone apart and wiggled the lcd ribbon cable and sure enough thats what was causing it
i folded up a small piece of paper and stuck it over top of the ribbon cable so that it would make a tight fit pushing the cable down when you put the upper keypad back on
i got it all back together and turned it on and slid it up and down to test the screen and not only was my screen fixed, but the slider felt a lot tighter too
i just killed two birds with one stone (or piece of paper)
