betta fish question??

i have a female betta that got beat up by another betta (the aggresive female is now in anopther tank so i dont gotta worry about her beating up other fish)

can the beat up fish fully heal? and how can i help? she either stays at the bottom or top of the tank, no where in between.

help please???
