We got our betta a few days ago and he looked happy for the first few days. He is now laying face first down in a plant. His head is in the base and his body is above it. The plant is fake plastic with soft leaves….we had the plant for years with our old betta.
I tapped the tank a few times and he stirred. We were scared that he was dying so I reached in and moved things around to get him to move elsewhere. The fish moved out and looked fine again. Then about 20 minutes later he went back to this awkward position.
He may be just resting but not sure. What do you think?
