I just bought a Betta fish about 10 hours ago...and a tank. I did everything I was supposed to do...rinsed tank...rinsed gravel...put in water conditioner...he was fine for about 2 hours...even ate some food... then he died??????????? WHY????
Betta tanks don't have filters or heaters and shouldn't. I have had 10 Bettas in the past and have done the same thing... rinse the tank...gravel... put them in the same temp water w/ conditioner.They have been fine Bettas don't like "current".... or "need" heat... the tank size 1/2 gallon. Tank does not need to be "cycled for 24 hours"... it's a stagnent water fish. He looked fine when I bought him...very lively... he even ate just when I brought him home... that usually doesn't happen for a couple of days. STOP WITH ALL OF THE RUDE COMMENTS... I feel bad enough as it is!!!
