ITs normal. Mines use to make nest all the time. There either bored, in the mood, or establishing a territory. Just my guess but yea its normal and they do it all the time.
 
This just means that he is happy and healthy. Don't worry at all. They do it all the time. It just means you are doing something right.
 
if you don't have a female its impossible for it to breed, bubble nest or no bubble nest
 
Then dont worry about it. Sometimes males just build nests. Doesnt mean you have to breed it. Just like when a female fish gets fat with eggs... Doesnt mean you have to breed her either.
