I recently bought a Betta Fish from Petsmart. I kept him in a small goldfish bowl for about a week and I felt sorry for him so I got him a 10 gallon tank and a filter. (trees and castles etc
When I first got him he was eating Omega One Natural Protein Formula Flakes every day and after I gave him a cookie for desert(Hikari Betta Bio-Gold). The problem is that now he turns his head at the flakes and he will only eat the cookies! I've been feeding him 3 -5 a day just because I don't want him to starve. I've never had a fish before so I don't really know exactly what to do. I'm scared if I stop feeding him treats he wont eat at all. I have only had him a few weeks.
Another thing I've noticed is that he now has a 2 1/2 foot tank and he spends all his time either fighting himself in the mirror or swimming at the filter as fast as he can... and he stays poofed up while doing both of them. How can I help him relax?
