Now he is at the top gulping the air
His gills are red and he can't stay at the bottom he is struggling to swim straight without flopping up. I thought it was swim bladder until I saw his gills. They are red. I added some ammonia clear in hoping it will help. But right now, as I am writing this he is resting at bottom of tank. Not moving, he isn't dead though. What should I do? I don't want to let him suffer so I thought about flushing him. Then I thought, what if he is okay? So I should leave him..... what should I do?
Had tank about since May, 3.5 gallons filtered heated etc. Cleaned it last week. Got the betta fish in April
Wow thanks for all your help and typing all the out. I did some research and it looks like velvet.
Also, I only have one betta fish. I got him in April, then put him in an aquarium in may.
time to fix him up
