I'm not sure if my betta has tail rot or pop eye, if I use it on her would the betta get damaged if she didn't have either of those?
No I ment tail rot or pop eye, I had two different Bettas, one which I'm sure has the rot and the other may have the popeye, though it's not pussing or anything, so I wasn't sure.

no not really she/he might get sluggish but noting will happen
if your going to treat for both then do it one at a time dont let the medicines mix in.

there is a huge difference between tail rot and eye pop.tail rot is when the tail gets broken like if it got peeled.eye pop is when the eyes get clouded.so which one does your betta have.read the box of the medicines.it should say if it will affect your betta if its not that disease.

Well "popeye" is pretty obvious because the eye will be protruding much more than usual and fin-rot is obvious too, the fins will look deteriorated. If none of those are your concern, than your betta may have something else.

If you are sure it is both Maracyn–Two will treat both, but you should increase aeration in the tank. Unnecessary medication would really do a number on your fish as far as stress goes, so look up pictures of pop eye and fin rot to confirm that she has on or the other, or both. be sure you knw what she has before treating it.
