Bestest Chase Scene?

The one with the crane? An all-time classic! I can't understand why people don't like that film.

Any of the car chases in Freebie & The Bean, and the one in What's Up Doc? are great.
And The Italian Job (the original)

The French Connection and To Live and Die in L.A. have a couple of very good car chases.

Because it was loud and stupid and pointless, which is disappointing when you consider its predecessors.

To Live and Die in LA is one of my faves too.

One of the reasons I like it is that it actually has plot going on during the car chase...these guys seem to come out of nowhere and start chasing them, and they don't know why or who they are. It keeps you guessing as to exactly what is going on.

The Seven Up's is also a fave of mine - a good, old fashioned, French Connection style chase with plenty of non-cgi assisted destruction.

The original Gone in Sixty SeconRAB has one of the longest chases (about 40 mins) using hundreRAB of cars and other types of vehicles, another good old fashioned chase - just a shame that the rest of the movie is pants.

I like the one in "The Dark Knight", where they have Harvey in the police van. No music and the shots are a lot longer than the average action scene. But it's brilliant.

I also Love T3, (my adoration of Claire Danes may have something to do with it) and, I know this is going to be unpopular here, but I have never truly loved anything James Cameron has done except the Abyss. I don't like his Alien sequel as much as Fincher's and I am not that overly keen on T2 either with that little brat Furlong.

great chase scenes IMO

the italian job (original!)
ronin
bourne identity
taxi (original french film NOT the remake) - absolutely ludicrous but the ending with the....
the spy who loved me

and the on-foot chase in seven (or is it se7en?)

and just for sheer silliness the one with the black porsches in condorman :D
