My friend lives in Romania and makes use of a cable internet connection and Windows Vista on a laptop. There are several users in the house, and we want to establish an independant "wireless" connection for my friend, while still allowing the other users to use the existing cable connection, all at the same time. A "splitter" with aditional cables is not acceptable.
Is a wireless router the answer, and can it provide the following important functions :
a. Wireless connection to another room about 10m away from the existing cable point.
b. Continued use of the existing cable connection by other users in the house
c. Simultaneous use by 2 users, one on wireless router and the other on cable
Any useful suggestions as to which product to buy at around $100 ?
Any information will be most welcome.
