my bike is old and i have left it out in the rain mutiple times. im going to stop doing that though. its getting rusty. ive heard coke helps a little bit. What is the best way to get rust off my bike?
well depends where it is...
i assume your chain is quiet rusted. maybe would be a good idea to replace it, for the rest it would be great to take the bike apart as much as possible and use special lubricants for bicycles(dont use wd-40 and that only ruins the bike, you can use it to remove some of the rust however but than still apply a lubricant that is meant for it)
if its too rusted id say it is not even worth the trouble of doing all the work since it is probably would be 100$ for a new bike just like it or better at walmart or w/e
Well, get gloves, a rag you don't mind throwing out immediately afterwards, CLR, and steel wool, put on the gloves, put the clr on the rag, and rub the rust, then take some steel wool, and rub off the rust.
