Hi all,
When leaving my college campus a few weeks ago one of my peers backed up into my vehicle as I was driving by. The damage is minimal just a dent, but I would like it fixed since it's a fairly new car.
That being said, the accident happened on school grounds, in a parking lot (Private property) so trying to fight who is at fault is not worth the time and effort, and going through either parties insurance company is not feasible because of the damage.
Now the lady who hit me will not directly admit to it being her fault (Though i do have damage to my vehicle that corresponds with the statement i gave to the police) she has come to me and asked me to please not go through her insurance company because obviously she doesn't want her rates to go up..
My question is, what is the best format and way to write a letter to this person asking if they would like to work something out under the table, and attaching 3 different estimates i got on the damage. Examples are welcome, links to a good template/format to use is also welcome.
