Best Value Road Bicycle?

Hello
Last month I took part in a 100 km cycle with 6000 other compeditors and I came in the top 300. Blow my mind as Im 21 years old and was riding my fathers 12 year old Giant. Looking to upgrade. Im looking for something professional, fast, light weight and proferably under $1500.

Visit the local bike shops and check out Giant, Fuji, Jamis, Specialized, Trek, Raleigh and a few others. You wont get a pro level bike for that price but it will be good enough to race. Bikes have come a long way in the last 12 years.
