I have an 08 Ultra that is completely stock. I, want to change the mufflers-looking for a louder, deeper tone, but not too loud that I cant hear the radio without blasting it. (had a RK with Kerkers-loved the sound but liking listening to the new radio better-Now I know Im getting older!!)Something that cracks on throttle, but mellows out at cruising speed would be ideal. Have narrowed it down to 3-Monster Ovals, Bub 7, and Klockwerks Revolvers or WFB. Looks wise I like the Bubs and Klockwerks, but sound is more important. Would really appreciate your comments and input.

Thanks and ride safe!

I had Bub &'s on my 'o7 RK and really enjoyed them. Build quality was first rate. I am currently using Jackpot's, which I like too. The build quality is not the best but they sound great and are relatively inexpensive.

Supertrapp. I just put the supermeg 2 into 1 on and the sound is perfect. They have several slip ons to chose from as well.

Don't overlook the Jackpot mufflers. Do a search here on "Jackpot" and "Fuel Moto" and read the favorable comments, then check out their website here. Let me know if you need more info. These provide the best bang-for-the-buck performance increase on the market, IMO, without excessive loudness. In fact, other than the HD SE mufflers they may be the quietest Stage 1 muffler available.

I'm not sure what the build-quality issues might be with these, as they are very well constructed. They even have an internal heat shield to reduce bluing around the input flange and bell, and I know of no other mufflers with that feature. Chrome is also excellent on the 5-6 sets I've seen.

Right now have V&H True Dual Headers with Python Slips with plans for V&H Monster Ovals in the future when can afford them love their Deep tone without being obnoxious to me thats the best for the long haul...

I read good things about the Kuryakyn Crushers too but I haven't seen them or heard them. Did you eliminate them? If you did, why?

+ 1 on the Fuelmoto Jackpots. They Sound great, great perfomance boost. Gives a good bark when you roll it on, but perfect in the cruise range for listening to the radio.

I am with flakdog on this one.I have the Vance& Hines monster ovals too. They have a deep tone but not to loud and those fat pipes look great from the back
