The keyboard player from Nightwish is pretty insane sometimes. His fingers are like magic!!!!!!!! lol.....wait. He's just an awesome keyboard player. Listen to the beginning of "Dead to the World" to see what I mean.
 
Then you dont go out much, and you dont really observe what people are saying on internet forums.

Either that or you are a ****ing moron.
 
I would but there are so many. His solos sound amazing, his tone, his control, and he uses those damn vibro-benRAB. I like Money and Any Colour You Like.

Thanks for suggesting I watch that guy play! Now I'm gonna be up for another two hours! Cause that guy is seriously like the piano speed racer.
 
And i dont really see EVH getting that much credit from critics, save maybe a few guitar magazines....I remeraber the RS greatest guitarists list, and they had him at #70, below Joe Perry, Kirt Hammett, Jack White and Kurt Cobain....Which was pretty damn lame.
 
I don't browse the forums that much, but I don't see how I'm a moron when all I've done is note that in every single top guitar solo list that I've seen (and even ones I've helped compose myself), "Eruption" is near the top. I'm sorry for not knowing about everyone on the net's opinions on it, but I know a damn lot. And obviously there are more people who love it than hate it.

those solos (at least the ones i've heard) are amazing.

what would you say makes a solo really great?

i guess it'd really depend on the type of song...but personally it blows me away to hear shred guitar where its just insanely fast.


actually i'm really surprised noone has mentioned eruption by Van Halen.

i have the live version, and that is one nice solo.
 
So more people hate it than love it? I find that hard to believe. Well there was this one guy complaining about it to me on the radio one time, but I think that's about it.

So you pretty much think lowly of all VH fans huh?...They dont have the right taste in music i guess.

You remind me of these losers who call Eruption a total wankfest and then pop in a Batio CD.
