Best Sleeping Posture for Cervical Neck/shoulder Injury?

Every night it is a battle to get to sleep. So far the best position I have found is to lay propped op on an incline so my upper back is supported. I can usually find rest this way but not all the time. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions that might be better than to....just not sleep? :)
pain level sits at 6 when the spasms aren't bad and goes up to 7.5 when they are. Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks Shar for your advice. I have a gel pack that was made by ACE that doesn't get hard when its put in the freezer and I like that. The rolled up towl I haven't tried. Does anyone know where I can get the long circle pillows they have at my old physical therapists?
