going to be doing some hiking, walking, exploring in the southern california desert, amboy, needles, vidal junction. these areas are very remote, there are tons of cactus, rattlesnakes, scorpions, sand, rocks, loose rocks, basically everything a large desert has. I'm wanting to know whats the best shoe for this? I'm thinking like some well cushioned leather work boots?
