Best sequels ever

Tried, with a friend, to come up with 10 sequels that were at least as good as the originals (serial films, such as James Bond or Star Trek, not allowed). We failed. Here is as far as we got:

Terminator 2
Aliens
Toy Story 2
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Lethal Weapon 2 or 3 (er, getting desperate now...)

And gonna start a worst sequels ever thread too...
 
Oh yes, X men 2 wasn't bad at all, was it? Didn't like Shrek 2 though (didn't want to see them getting together AGAIN - should have been a different story this time). And I am the only Star Wars fan that thought Empire considerably weaker than A New Hope (FX not as good, no ending etc etc) but I realise I am a lone voice there.

It's a very good film and cleverly shot.

I often, after watching BTTF II, watch the first film again to see if I can see 'the other' Marty creeping around ;)

BTTF III kind of spoiled the trilogy ...
