I am getting to the point where I will be retiring from my original occupation in just a few years. I have decided that I would enjoy becoming a bicycle mechanic as my second career. I'm interested in working in a shop, not with a racing team or anything of that nature. What would be the best way to prepare and insure that I would have the skills necessary for employment? Should I attend Barnet or the United school? Any advice would be appreciated.
