Best pricing for new equipment with TMO

My contract is up on Nov 7th and my question is with respect to new equipment. I called TMO today and they said I would be eligible for best pricing 1 month before my contract ends. So the example I was given is if the Pearl is $349 now, best pricing would be $149.

I am trying to find out a way to get the best price on the 8320 when it is released on the 24th. I do havea coporate discount with them as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. They said they should have prices hopefully for the 8320 by next week. Its unfortunate that one get great prices when joining a new carrier, but they don't hook you up after being with them for some time.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~yeah... For some reason there's no big bonus for upgrades because there is no pay out on it, upgrades just break even if your lucky. But what you have to do is call Tmobile and talk to the retentions department. They will be able to work with you and give you the best price possible because they have the ability to do so. I would try that. Good luck, let me know how it goes. By the way, tell them your going to wait until your contracts up and then your going to go to Verizon or something

Thanks for the advice. So should I talk to Rentention on the 24th when it drops or wait until I have one month left on the contract? Trying to find out when I have the best bargaining room.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~i would wait until your due for an upgrade. And then start bargaining prices, but the best way to bargain the price of an upgrade is through the retentions dept.

the renetions trick is a delicate one... its usually a one time trick... usuallly NOT on high end equipment... and usually shipped via UPS... not available to pick up in a store

most importantly... its a case by case situation... if the acct is deliquent or has a history of deliquency, you won't have much to bargain with

Retention is tricky, like above, it's generally a onetime deal and the account needs to be stellar. The prices for devices generally isn't available till the launch date.
