Best pre and post cardio meal?

Is it okay to have a bowl of low cal/low sugar cereal with some almonds in it with skim milk and a multivitamin before cardio and is a turkey/chicken breast sandwich on wheat bread or tuna/salmon a better choice after cardio. So should you have a mixture of carbs and protein before cardio and should you have carbs and protein after cardio or just protein after cardio
