Best place to take my jeep off roading in So Cal/San Diego area?

I want to take my Jeep off roading and am looking for a good spot. I don't necessarily want to go to the desert, I'm looking for some nice scenery like waterfalls, pine trees, more lush scenery, etc...if there is such a place? I'm looking into Corral Canyon at Cleveland National Forest, but I'm not sure how that is? Any feedback would be much appreciated.
 
Try a few public playgrounds, small kids running and screaming in all directions will add to the fun of the off roading adventure.
 
I think the best place to off road in southern california is Gordon Wells - just a ways from the Salton Sea.
