I'm sick of having to either pay for a coder or rely on prebuilt web scripts. I'm an internet/affiliate marketer and I'd like to be able to create my own or customize my own web scripts.
I've wanted to learn this for years but I always get frustrated at how little I know and how long it will take for me to have the skillset to build what I want.
I read a book on HTML & CSS a few months ago, and I forgot everything. How do you learn computer languages when you forget a lot of stuff? lol
Where and how did some of you start coding in PHP? Do you recommend a book or something like lynda.com?
Please point me in a good direction. I'm so lost. lol
For example, I'd like to be able to build a site that pulls in ebay or Amazon listings - instead of using something like "Build A Niche Store" I'd like to create my own.
I'd also like to create wordpress plugins.
I pretty much want to be able to built and experiment with ideas I have.
