best place to buy iphone 4 and is At&T or Verizon plan better?

i havent heard much at all about the verizon iphone other than that there slower, but i havent actually used one. i have at&t iphone 4 and i like it alot. Other than an occasional dropped call im very happy with it.

I bought my iphone 4 32gb from craigslist, which allowed me to join at&t without a contract and with the iphone 5 coming out soon that will allow you to save your upgrade for that if that interests you.

And with at&t i know you can do autopay. they will just take the billed amount out of your account.
 
I don't do alot of texting or calling. I'd probably use the iphone for internet more than anything. I wnat to buy one of the new iphone 4s, but I dont know of AT&T or Verizon is better. I've seen tons of iphone 4 for sale online, but I want to buy from somewere fast and reliable. I heard Best Buy is the best place to order from, but is that true? I just want a nice, normal 16 gb Iphone4 with calling,texting and internet acess. Also: is there a way to pay verizon or At&T solely online- like have them directly take the money from my bank account (automatic withdrawl) as I'll be in bootcamp for the air force and wont be able to get online or deal with paying bills.

I'd love to not have some 2 year contract- I plan to switch to iphone 5 when it comes out and I dont wanna be stuck with the one I have in that case.

Also: is the 50 dollar iphone 3gs a good deal? is iphone 4 really that much better than iphone 3gs?
 
Verizon has so much better coverage. ATT does have that talk while surfing thing if thats a big deal. Verizons 3g coverage is waaaayyyy better which is good for extensive internet use. You might have to shell out a bit more cash for the Verizon bill though but it is worth it.
