Best park on Lake Michigan for hiking/swimming (on the eastern side)?

My friends an I are taking a two day trip to Lake Michigan this weekend. What is the best spot for hiking and swimming? Good scenery is a must, and preferably a less-crowded area. Though about Indiana Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore, but apparently you can see Chicago and a prison from some spots (yuck!)
Thanks!

Go to either Warren Dunes State Park or Saugatuck Dunes State Park in Southwest Michigan. They both have excellent beaches and great scenery. At Saugatuck Dunes, you can take a dune buggy tour over the dunes. It's plenty of fun.

By the way, Indiana Dunes State Park is nice, too. You can only see the Chicago skyline in the distance if it's a clear day. I live close by to that park and go there all the time. I don't anything about seeing a prison from the park. The prison is in Michigan City, and I've never seen it from the Dunes State Park.
