Can anyone tell me the best office chair to purchase after fusion at L5 S1?
Price is not an issue. Any advice would truly be appreciated. Also, I would think that lurabar support (curve) would hurt a person that has had fusion? Gimme your thoughts here too!
TIA,

Ask your doctor if the below information would help you.

I have not had surgery, but had/have extruded disc material at L5-S1 and use a HAG BALANS kneel in chair from the comfort store purchased on line.

Same situation here, and I use a Tiffany Industries model orthopedic chair that I really like. You can inflate the lurabar support to your level of comfort.

I use two through out the day.....One is just a firm chair with wheels and the other is awsome.... I think its about $500 for the one I got.

Devon;)

That swing seat look like it might be worth a try, its looks like it really might take the pressure of our spines because it constantly moving.

Ginger,

The best thing would be to invest in a work station where you can stand up instead of sit. I did this and it has made a tremendous difference in my low back strain. Plus it is just healthier to stand up. I get more exercise during the day too. I bought mine at staples. It is basically a high table with two leaves that you can fold in. Comes in black and cherry finish and I think it was like 300$. I have my computer and monitors at eye level. I also bought a desk chair that goes up high enough so that if I get tired I can sit down.
I know it sounRAB crazy to stand up to work, but trust me, its great!
