Hi!
Best phone/provider for 81 year old mom in San Francisco?
Requirements:
-easy to use
-easy to read keys (she can not read tiny print)
-good reception in City of San Francisco
-good stand-by battery life
-durable
-voice-dialing nice but not necessary
-can be unlocked for use with Verizon, T-Mobile or Cingular.
Since she intends to only use the phone for emergencies, I am looking into prepaid phone plans. Cingular seems to have the best rates. 99 cent access charge applies only if the phone is used that day. Verizon charges 99 cents per day whether or not you used the phone. T-Mobile has no information about access charges on its web site.
Any recommendations for prepaid plans? Best combo phone/service provider, prepaid or basic? This is for my mom, so I am willing to pay retail price for a phone that works for her.
