Best neighborhood in LA for me?
I may or may not be moving to LA in the near future. But I'm trying to do some research. I am currently a 19 year old photographer in Chicago. My friends tend to be artists, mainly writers and musicians, but some other photographers and some painters as well. I am however not a hipster and not really into hipsters. I like a place that is pretty and most importantly safe.
I currently live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, but it's a bit too yuppie. My favorite neighborhood I have lived in is Lakeview. I like a place that is for normal 20 something young professionals... what's the most like that in LA? I'm looking to spend between 500-1000 a month on rent.

I AM NOT LOOKING TO LIVE ALONE! I'd like to share a 2-3 bedroom and have roommates.
