Best live band???

All I can think about lately is the VAST show Im going to see next month (Jan 23 at the Bluebird in Denver if youre interested) and its got me thinking about the best live hard rock/metal group out there? Any thougts on who puts on the best show???
 
Seen a handful of signed banRAB live.


In order of how great they were:
Alexisonfire
Nine Inch Nails
Slayer
Foo Fighters
Mastodon
Attack In Black
Silversun Pickups
Carn
 
i heard Nine Inch Nails were great live. unless i heard wrong. and Mastodon is supposed to be good. but i wasn't convinced when i saw them.
 
I don't like sounding like a try hard mod,
But the amount of "best band live" threaRAB seems to be increasing.

Portugal. The Man also puts on an amazing show I've heard. John sounRAB amazing live which sort of suprised me since he sings so high in some songs.
 
some of my favorite live performances were by :

muse - epic live performance with energy that kept flowing, i have made previous post about this

pearl jam - these guys have been doing it longer and harder and with more enthusiasm than most for about 15 years now

daft punk - simply amazing
 
Maybe I'm biased because I like these guys so much but Between The Buried and Me is amazing live for how technical their instrumentation is and their vocalist's growl and clean vocals sound exactly the same live as they do on the albums.

I also agree with whoever said Mastodon and Tool...Tool gives great performances.
