I'm currently using a modded xbox with XBMC... I LOVE the interface and all the ways you can have it automatically get tv and movie information from sites like thetvdb.com and imdb.com, but the hardware is just so old, and the speed is too slow to support high definition. Does anyone have an HD media streamer with a similar interface to XBMC but with newer hardware? I would also like to be able to plug external hard drives directly into the unit via USB or firewire, but of course I can always just network if need be.
So, I've just checked out Plex Media Center's interface, and that also seems very appealing to me. Do they make stand-alone units that have an interface like this?
