Best friend was blackout drunk, said she definitely wants to have sex... how serious...

...should I take her? As she put it, she'd had a massive massive crush on me about 4 years ago (right when we first met). We've always been such good friends though, and remained such even when her immediate feelings faded. I thought she was done with that, especially after I asked her out almost a year later and got turned down. Up until we both got the drunkest we've been in years.

After a truly awful week (massive, crushing loss to a divisional rival in sports, 3 midterms and a 35+ page paper each) we both decided to hit the bars at 5pm... and proceeded to rack up a $200 bar tab spanning til 1 am. Around 10ish I realized we were getting really 'handsy', sober she doesn't even hug any guy but me. By 11 I had my arm around her and she was holding hands with me leaning up against me. And then the conversations started.

I found out just how huge of a crush on me she actually had. As she put it, she still really wants to date me (among other things)... yet doesn't want to lose me as a friend since I'm the only guy she's ever met to understand her the way I do, or the fact that we can hang out for days and never even chafe at the other. She then looked at our now-twined hands, seemed to sober up a bit, and said 'this is really dangerous isn't it?'... as she snuggles closer. The last thing she said on the topic before we got up and left was 'I don't think we should do anything more unless we're both dead serious, otherwise one of us is gonna end up hurt'.

I then basically carried her home, set her alarm for her to make sure she got up in time for her flight... then left. I needed to think about what the hell just happened.

How serious do I take this?
