I am getting my girlfriend a new flute. She is at professional level and teaches students. She recently broke her flute by accident and needs a new one, for performaces. Could anyone tell me the number one flute brand out there? I have heard that Jupiter and Pearl are good?

I play the flute, and yeah Jupiter and Pearl are good too. You can also try Armstrong. Does she play open-hole? Open-hole flutes tend to have a prettier and smoother sound than a non-open-hole. Also, you should make sure the headpiece is really good. That's where most of the sound comes from. Hope this helps!

P.S. Don't buy Yamaha. I bought one from there and it stopped working. I don't know why.

and i LOVE pearl

they break semi easily, and have to go in for many repairs(in my case)

but i don't handel mine well...
