I have been drawing manga styled art for a couple of years the old fashioned way (on paper, without computers): pencil, ink, and then colored pencil. I would like to invest in art software, since I've seen what talented artists can do with software. However, I don't know what these people use, and I'd like to know what it is and if I can afford it. I'm not looking for something like Tokyopop's Manga Creator or anything similar.
What is the best software if:
1. You do everything on the computer, preliminary sketch, lineart, touchup, coloring, shading etc.?
Or if you
2. You scan your lineart, touch it up, then color?
The most I'm willing to pay is 70 dollars.
Are there any experienced manga artists out there who can give me a word of advice?
