Best and Worst use of Mythology in Animation.

I’m a huge geek for world mythology, Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Mesopotamian, Celtic, Indian or whatever you got. So of course I’m always intrigued when I see a mythological character or story adapted for animation. Some particular highlights for me include…

Gargoyles
Might as well get my obligatory “Gargoyles rocks” moment out of the way. But seriously Gargoyles is well known for elegantly intertwining many mythologies into its ever evolving story arcs, particularly in regards to Arthurian legend and folklore dealing with Oberon’s Children. I especially enjoyed the episodes featuring Odin and Anubis.

Tutenstien
I stumbled on this show and was interested enough to watch about a dozen episodes. It’s a fairly enjoyable as a kids show but where it really shines is in its research. A lot of the characters and plots are heavily rooted in ancient Egyptian mythology and religious practices, all presented in a very historically accurate manner. It's probably the only kid's shows I know of that includes in-jokes aimed at Egyptologists.

So that's me, I'm interested in hearing all your favourite and least favourite uses of mythology in an animated series or movie.
 
Yu-Gi-Oh!/Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters - Yeah, it seems weird that the show that sells card games is my pick, but it handles Egyptian mythology really well. Heck, that's one of the reasons I got into it as kid. The cards feature Gods based on the Egyptian mythology and the final story arc is an exploration of the Egyptian belief of the afterlife. The sequel/spin-off series, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's has similar effect with Incan mythology.

I want to say Neon Genesis Evangelion as well, but most of its references are just there to sound cool, although they do work.
