Best Adobe Photoshop for beginner editor?

Hi, I was gonna get more into photography, and my mac doesn't have that complex built in editing software,

I was looking for only Adobe photoshop series.

Since you are a photographer, not a post production wizard, you may find that Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop Elements will be the best program to start using.

i think photoshop CS 2 or photoshop CS 3 will be good for beginners, theyre easy to use and not that complicated
photoshop CS 4, the new one, is more complicated and for more advance ppl,
you can work your way up to a CS4, but its way more expensive
if i were u, i'd rather buy a CS2 first cuz it will be cheaper
