Besides the KLG4 what engine can I swap into a 1999 Mazda 626?

Besides the KLG4 what engine can I swap into a 1999 Mazda 626? Engine blew and am looking for a quick and cheap swap....
does it have to be Mazda? can it use a Ford,Chevy,Toyota ect ect?
