I just got a prescription today for Benzaclin Gel. I am a little hesitant to try out new medications. Does anybody here use this to treat acne? If so, did it give you a rash or other side effects?
used it for five years, loved it. no side effects at and it cleared my skin nicely, but you only need a very thin layer of it, otherwise you risk getting very dry skin.
My son loves benzaclin. He has been using it for years and has never used oral antibiotics. Without it, his acne goes out of control. I would recommend using a non-drying, gentle cleanser while using it as it can dry your skin out.
Thanks for the replies ~ so you just put it on like sunscreen only using a very thin film? The pharmacist said to make sure my skin was dry before applying it. Does it feel sticky on the skin?
