I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 through Bell Mobility here in London, Canada. On the back of the phone it says "3G CDMA".
However whenever I use the phone it's NEVER under 3G converage it's only ever under 1XEV.
I asked the Bell guy and he gave me some weird story about Blackberry having it's own network and not using 3G. I asked him why my phone says 3G on the back then, and it became clear he had NO idea what he was talking about.
So my question is this...Why if my phone is capable of 3G and 3g is the "best" network, then why is my blackberry NEVER in 3G?
I hope I haven't confused anyone, as it's a hard question to ask.
I would really appreciate any answers on this. Or even some sort of explanation.
