Does being more emotional and knowing less religious history = being more religious?

Do you think Atheism is correlated with being less emotional, plus knowing a lot of religious history?
On the flip side, do you think being religious is correlated with being more emotional and knowing less religious history?
No offense to anyone - just wondering what your experience is personally. Also, "not knowing religious history" is not to say that someone is not knowledgeable about their religion - perhaps they have a personal relationship with God but don't feel the need to read every text about it.
