Ok. I'm a college student and the only way I've been staying alive is through Fasfa. Well that's ok and everything, but my phone on the other hand has been hectic. I used to have tracfone and paid for those minute cards that you get at Walmart. That's been driving me insane because I've always had to cut calls short due to my budget and my unwilling to risk any additional money for extra minutes. But for this semester I wanted it to stop. I wanted to get a plan with someone.
I've been asking around here in High Point, NC and I here that Verizon has had the best coverage. Ok, great! I was also talking to my mother about it and she's been dying to get a phone too. She would pay me her half to get a family plan since it was about 20$ cheaper. So the next day, I went to a store, got my phone and--- wow. I had to pay 350$ extra for activation, equipment, etc? That's not the deposit. No. The 350$ was just to get a plan with these guys, plus all this other.. crud.
So I bought the 2-year contract And now I'm regretting it. I hear Spring is cheaper and my friend has had no problems, and paid nothing up front. I hear AT&T offers a family plan 20$ cheaper per month then Verizon. aaah! .. Can you guys help me see the light? Was it a good decision and if not, why? I got to know.
