I'm in AP Euro history, and i have some ADD and not very good processing speed, so it takes me a very long time to read a chapter of the AP book. It can take me 20 minutes to read one page of our AP book (*A History of a Modern World 10th edition- Palmer) and make study questions based on it. Each chapter is about 40 pages or more so that's a LOT of time reading. So far I've read about 1/3 of the reading he has assigned (about 1/2 of the reading in the text book, and about 1/10 of the supplementary packets he's given us). I have an 88 in that class (which is really good at my school, especially with this teacher), so I've been doing alright on tests (in this class, the only grades we get are class participation and quiz/test grades, not a lot of free points). Usually the teacher talks a lot so it isn't that bad of a thing to miss some of the reading as long as you pay attention in class, but we moved through the last chapter, (chapter 3) faster than usual, and he spent a long time talking about the first half (which i read) and not a lot about the second half. Consequentially, I know almost nothing about the 30 Years War besides the names of the phases and that it was 30 years long, and not a whole lot about the 17 provinces of The Netherlands (?) or whatever and some conflict between the northern and southern provinces. We just had our test on the chapter and no one did very well so I see a lecture about the 30 years war ahead, but I'm fuzzy on the general history of the opposing forces of the time, and i want to get a 4 or, hopefully a 5 on the exam in May. I really don't have any spare time, so reading the rest of the chapter + chapter 4 wouldn't be an easy thing to do, but is that necessary?

Do i need to catch up? If i do, will skimming the last half of the chapter be enough? Does anyone know of any site with an abridged version of this book (A History of the Modern World 10th edition - by R.R. Palmer (+ Colton and Kramer))? It would be SOOOO unbelievably helpful if there is one!!!

P.S. are there any videos i can watch about AP European history that would be helpful to watch? I'm an auditory learner and it would probably be really helpful to watch some videos. Thanks everyone!!!
