that's the one my friend has. i've been using it for taking random pics, mostly for a latin project, cause i don't have a cam right now. but i'm hoping to get one for christmas, and was wondering if this would be okay for just getting into photography. i have an intrest in it. i'm 16, and getting a more expensive one is a bit out of the question right now. any other suggestions if this one isn't good??

I did take a look at the specs on this camera and it seems to compare with other point and shoot cameras ~~ If you go to a camera shop you can have a chance to compare different cameras in the same price range and have them explain the difference ~~It is always good to see whats available in the area you are ready to purchase~~good luck and enjoy ~~

There are three elements to a successful photo:
Theme,
Composition, and
Exposure

Notice I didn't say Camera?

Read my article and see what you can create... your Casio will be a good starting tool.

It will give you basics of successful photography. Good luck.

Beginning P&S camera, it is a good one.

To learn photography, you will need a camera that is fully adjustable .. Like a 35 mm SLR or entry level DSLR. Fully automatic P&S cameras do not allow you to decide what shutter speed or f/stop you wish to use to control things like stopping action, panning a low shutter speeds to suggest speed, selective depth of field, that long exposures at night to catch the light trails of either head and tail lights or stars even.

that is a good camera and it will serve you well. After you get some experience in photography, you might want to look for a more versatile camera, but you don't need one now.
