beginner plans for bike riding?

hi, I am very interested interested in getting back to shape. I've always been athletic; swimming, basketball, bike riding of coarse that was all for fun and it kept me in good shape, i come from a family who are big in weight so the least I've weighed is 150lbs in hs when I was 17 5'6. I am now 20 210lbs and 5'6 so I'm REALLY REALLY trying to shed those lbs. my plan is to try and get back to 150lbs if not then 160 will do. are there any beginning work out plans that i should follow? such as how many miles I should start off with? how many mins I should b.r. for? any answers that have to do with losing weight is greatly appreciated & all the "damn you gained a lot of weight" answers are just motivation
