What to plant for a first time garden, ie lettuce, carrots etc..
I live in the northeast section of the US and was wondering what would be good start start growing for edible food. Is there certain things I can grow in the late summer and certain things I can grow in the early spring before it gets cold out? I have two 6' x 15' planting beds on the side of my house and don't want to plant just flowers in them, I want to try and grow some vegetables etc.
Any thoughts?
