I once lived in a very small town called baker city Oregon and bands passing through on the Interstate 84 either coming from portland or boise would often stop in our town hotel.(my mom worked at the hotel) I actually saw Eminem come off his bus a go into the hotel. Snoop dogg also came through. I met the guys from dragonforce. Although I met them having no idea that they were huge until i checked out their videos. I met plenty of the punk bands that i am into. like the casualties and career soldiers. Jake casualty thought it was funny they had fans in such a desolate place.
when you go to soundwave, they usually have signings for the less popular bands, like for example this year you could probably meet emery, chiodos etc.
i doubt you'd meet the headlining acts.
but yeh, you pay like $5 and you meet them and shit
