Beeping noise & "BRAKE" light illuminated when shifting from 1st gear in 2000 Dodge...

...Neon? I drive a manual 2000 Dodge Neon. And when I come from a standstill into 1st gear, I will gas it..and clutch out. But lately [a lot] when I do this...I hear a beeping sound & the BRAKE sign lights up. I'm not sure what this means or what is going wrong. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
It might be a warning sign that your brakes are near their limits. I know that manual vehicles require their brakes to operate basically. Get them checked maybe ^_^
 
I don't know either but brakes are important and so are transmissionsso go have it checked, the more you drive it the worse it will get the more you will spend.
