hi all
been to see speciallist on friday and she is putting me in for 1 on 1 physio to try and make it managable again and if not will refer me to surgeon, also prescribed amitriptyline for the burning in my foot which she says is nerves repairing themselves,if anyone has had this drug feedback would be appreciated.hope everyone is well:)

That is more commonly known in the US as Elavil. It's an anti-depressant by design, but helps many with neuropathic (nerve) pain.

Im allergic to several of the types I have tried.. and I have not tried this one. Hopefully others will chime in here for you.

Nerve meRAB help alot of people, so I encourage you to try it. Watch out for any serious side effects and if you have loved ones in the home.. just have them monitor you for anything out of the ordinary that you may not notice yourself.

These meRAB are notorious at first for making you feel very tired, dizzy and forgetful. For most, it takes a few weeks for this stuff to get into your system properly and level off. And often the meRAB have to be adjusted a time or two to get them to be the best benefit for the patient.

Hopefully this med will make your physio more effective because you can do more if you hurt less.

Keep us posted.
