Been ill, need to get well.

I carried hand sanitizer in my pockets. I used it all the time. I took my pens and pencils home after I realized I was getting the kids germs by letting them borrow them and put them back in my jar. I only carry one for me in my pocket. When I went in and out of the classroom I could open the door with part of my sleeve. I would pull it down. If I had to open the door with my bare hand I would use hand sanitzer right after. This all worked great and I stopped getting sick until the next kid sneezed in my face and that is when I was out for a week sick as I dog. I resigned right after that.

Working and being around people is almost unavoidable. I just felt in this case I was deliberately with young kids who don't know better to cover their mouths. Knock on wood I have been ok since then.

You sound like you really work around alot of kids and are around alot of people.

We run special courses on health - Just a question? Are you still experiencing difficulty with your illness. It sounds like a low immune system to me.

I did a fair amount of walking today, I would say I've finally shaken the unnatural exhaustion, after 2.5 weeks of no energy. Throat is okay for talking, still having some trouble reaching a proper "lecture" volume, but I think it'll heal eventually.

I'm starting to verge on the crazy with my fear of germs, though. I just want to get through the next two weeks without getting sick, but it seems like everyone around me is sick.

How offended would you be if your teacher said, "Hey, everybody, next week? Don't come if you're sick. Please. Whatever you miss, we'll make it up. Just don't come next week."
