I am from Chicago and 2 weeks ago i went to visit some friends in florida.. The day after i got there i started feeling some dizziness, after a few days i could not put up with it so i went to the ER and they took urine sample and did some blood tests and xrays on my chest and stomach areas.. Today marks the 2 week mark and im starting to feel pressure in my head. It has not stopped and i am so confused on whats going on its very annoying. I do not have insurance either and i can not afford to take tests, I have tried drinking a lot of fluids and taking over the counter meds but nothing seems to be working. I just want it to go away its ruined my vacation time and now i am back home in chicago and my symptoms continued I dont know what to do! please help!

Your symptoms could be signs of allergies to a new area, plants and climate. With allergies, your sinuses can swell, along with your ear canals, and this can cause all of these symptoms, I recognized the dizziness and head pressure, this is what I had. I get these symptoms every spring. You could try an over the counter nasal spray first, this is what helped me. There are also many other meds to try, or you can ask the pharmacist what seems to work the best. If this is not the cause, the only other thing I can think of is any problem with your neck, which I had also, can cause dizzy spells and head pressure. I would try the nasal spray or allergy med. first. I went for months feeling out of it, drug out, and always had pressure in my head, and it was just my sinuses reacting to something in the air, even in the winter, because of the forced air furnace I will have problems. Good luck, I hope you get to feeling better

Same here. I live in Ohio and have been dizzy for 5 weeks now. At first, the dizziness was 24/7. Now, I have a few days that are good and then back to the unbalanced feeliing.

I feel more unbalanced than dizzy...like I am drunk or something. Also, my ear feels blocked up. I have tried all the OTC meds and nothing helps.

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

I've been cruising the boards for this symptom, and this sounds exactly like what I've been experiencing for a month. I've never had any allergies, so I ruled that out, but maybe I ought to reconsider. I've read that older people sometimes get chronic dizziness that isn't understood by doctors, but I'm not prepared to accept this. I believe there's a cause, and I'll keep looking for clues. I've also read that stress/anxiety can cause this. I'm hoping others will chime in with any successes they've had in treating this. I plan to discuss with my MD soon if it continues.
