I think the ending is perfectly expain Jane Austen's writing style.
Her books always have happy endings because she herself couldnt get the happy ending she deserved.
Sad but beautiful story.
 
Suits him very much, I agree. It's the smirks... so in character. Although I have to say I find him the most attractive in Atonement.
 
I adore this movie. James McAvoy and Anne Hathaway were perfect together. I was just disappointed at the way the movie ended. Neither of them got the happy ending that they had hoped for.
 
I saw it this weekend and it was good. Like others have said it was kind of depressing. Kisses were lovely though, weren't they?

I'd like icons as well. :)

I'm curious. Did they really have a thing in real life?
 
I've just wen thru some adaptations of her works. I've just seen Mansfield Park and Persuasion. :love:

Loved the movie ... and it was interesting to see how many of her characters depicted some of the people around her :D.
 
I'm SO excited to see this movie. It was supposed to be released nationwide on Friday... yet for some odd reason its not playing in ANY of my local movie theaters. Only random ones have are showing it, and it makes me so angry. I've been watching the trailer and music vids on youtube and am literally dying to see it... but the movie theaters around me seem determined to torture me slowly...
